Recently a woman came forward claiming to have been sexually assualted by Eric Foster of the Indianapolis Colts. Her name was not mentioned but she claims this took place during Eric Foster's stay at the University Place Hotel the morning of the 2010 AFC Championship Game in January. She claims to have been delivering dental products to his room when the assault took place. She claims that he exposed his genitals to her and fondled her against her will.
I think if he is found guilty of this heinous crime immediate actions should take place on the field and off. He is representing the Colts and Indiana and it makes us look bad when he commits a crime. However, we can't assume he's guilty just because some girl claims he sexually assaulted her. There have been many cases where people have claimed they were assaulted by celebritys just to get on camera or possibly some lawsuit money.

On April 17, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI paid a visit to eight male victims who were abused as boys while in a Catholic orphanage. They claimed to have been abused and forced to dress like women during the time they spent at the orphanage on the island of Malta. Pope Benedict spent time with each of these men praying and talking to them. This was all in light of the recent alligation's against the Catholic church for allowing child molester's to remain in their churches.
I think it's terrible what happened to those kid's at the orphanage. I think the church need's to take care of these injustices. These are the people representing the Catholic faith and God and there abusing and molesting children. However I am glad that the Pope is showing that he cares about fixing the problems in the church and visiting the people whom were affected by these priests.

On Tuesday April 13, Michelle Obama made a surprise visit to earthquake- damaged Haiti. This was her first solo trip since her husband took office. She was accompanied their by Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden. There, they greated the people and participated in activitys such as painting with the children. Obama's and Biden's visit was intended to underscore US commitment to the Haitian reconstruction effort.
I think it's great that our country is showing support for the Haitian community. I'm glad Michelle Obama let the Haitian people know that the U.S. cares and that we are aware of the devastation. However, I think she should have done more than just paint with the children and talk to the people. I think she should have passed out food and clothes to the people considering there all starving and homeless. Many Haitians commented that Obama should have brought them food instead of coming to Haiti for a press oppurtunity.

On wednesday, April 7, two women were charged after a fight with a Detriot busdriver. The fight started after the bus driver picked up one of the women and left the other one behind. Once the driver realized this, he turned around and picked her up. However, the two women were still enraged by the bus drivers mistake and began punching and kicking the driver. The incident was caught on film and both women were charged with misdemeaner assualt and battery.
I think this whole incident is ridiculous. The bus driver made a simple mistake and didn't deserve to be treated the way he did. I think those women deserve the punishment they recieved.

Recently California has introduced their new program to reduce overcrowding in prisons. This planning was brought into effect after a ruling that the state must reduce its prison population by 57,000 inmates. Some methods of cutting the population include limiting new admissions, changing policies so parole violators return to prison less frequently, and giving prisoners more time off of their sentences for good behavior and rehabilitation efforts.
I think this plan is terrible. I think instead of making all these changes they should just open up more prisons in California. I think people would understand if there tax money was being spent on new prisons to keep criminals behind bars. Plus inmates shouldn't be let off easy just because of overcrowding, they deserve to serve the time they recieved from the crime they committed.
